Bollywood filmmaker Mohit Suri made a blockbuster comeback with his film Saiyaara, starring debutant Ahaan Panday and Big Girls Don’t Cry fame Aneet Padda, which has taken the box office by storm. As the internet keeps buzzing with excitement over the film, a video recently went viral on social media where the title track of the film was sung by the late legendary musician Kishore Kumar.
Yes, you read that right! With the use of artificial intelligence (AI), the song could be heard in his voice. The song was then juxtaposed with the iconic song Rimjhim Gire Sawan, featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee, where they are seen strolling the lanes of Mumbai amid rains. Well, as soon as the video went viral, netizens rushed to the comment section to share their opinions on it.

While many expressed how Kumar’s AI version is better than the original song, others slammed the creator for doing so. Some even opined that they thought that song was a remake of Kishore Kumar’s song. However, a section of the internet also called the AI version an “insult” to his career and achievements.
Bhai unfair to compare anybody with Kishore. Even Lata Tai confessed that he was far superior and versatile.
For me, the greatests of all time would surely be Kishore, Rafi and Mukesh.

Not on this song & video please. It’s the best Mumbai Monsoon song. Nothing can better Rimjhim Gire Sawan.

kk has that unmatched passion in his voice; he puts emotion in every word because he feels it. In his interviews, he says that a song isnt a song until you feel it within. a true legend.

No bloody AI version can take the place of Rim Jhim gire sawan song
Anyone who attempted to do this is injustice and insult to the choreography Kishir da and many other artists

Yes. Imagine RD Burman as music director, it would have been at different level altogether with KK original voice.

Only true Kishor fans will not go “wow” on this video effort. The original song + the video is a masterpiece. None can replace them even if may seem perfect fit for some noobs

For those who don’t know, Saiyaara recently became the first Hindi song to top Spotify’s Global Viral 50 chart. It was also the first Bollywood song to feature on Spotify’s Top 10 list. Sung by Faheem Abdullah and composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Saiyaara’s title track has managed to leave behind international musicians like Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, BLACKPINK, and Sabrina Carpenter, among others, as well as their songs and albums.
