Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, who first shared the screen in 2014’s Gunday, reunited recently in Singham Again. Known for their camaraderie, the duo has frequently been spotted enjoying each other’s company at industry events and public platforms.
From their memorable Koffee With Karan appearance to their participation in AIB’s roast, their friendship has consistently been in the spotlight. In a recent interaction, Kapoor opened up about their special bond, revealing that their connection goes far beyond their professional lives.
In a conversation with Mashable India, Kapoor mentioned that his friendship with Singh grew during the filming of Gunday, where they spent quality time together. Today, their bond extends beyond work, with the two discussing their ups and downs, sharing life insights, and even exchanging funny memes on social media.
Kapoor said the foundation of their friendship lies in honesty. He added that, beneath their playful banter, there is a deep-seated love and respect. Kapoor also said that Singh is always the first person to reach out to him whenever he needs support.
“We are not trying to outdo each other, outshine, or get attention. We celebrate what we have. I think that’s what stands the test of time. It’s not that we just talk about work, we have spoken about life, and we have spent a lot of time together while filming,” revealed Kapoor.
Reacting to the fun element of their bromance, Kapoor admitted that they send silly memes to each other all the time. When asked what was the last meme he sent to Singh, Kapoor said it must be some football-related stuff.
Kapoor’s latest movie Singham Again performed quite mediocre at the box-office, earning Rs. 240 crore. It’s been made on a reported budget of Rs. 350 to 375 crore. Kapoor played antagonist Danger Lanka in the action film, leaving the audience impressed with his portrayal.
