Gauri & Suhana Khan Celebrate Shah Rukh’s First National Award Win With Heartfelt Posts: ‘So Ready To Brag…’

After a remarkable career of over 30 years, Shah Rukh Khan has won his first National Film Award. The Best Actor award at the 71st National Film Awards went to him for his dual role in the 2023 hit film Jawan. He shares the award with Vikrant Massey, recognized for his performance in 12th Fail.

Suhana Khan and Gauri Khan celebrated the achievement on social media. Suhana posted a black-and-white photo of a young Shah Rukh holding her, with the caption, “From bedtime stories to stories that leave a mark, no one tells them like you. Congratulations. Love you the most.” Gauri shared a post with photos of Shah Rukh, Rani Mukerji, and Karan Johar, writing, “Three of my absolute favourites just WON big and so did our hearts. When talent meets goodness, magic happens — so proud, and so ready to brag about them forever.”

Gauri’s post also celebrated Rani Mukerji’s Best Actress win for Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway and Karan Johar’s film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which won Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Choreography for Dhindhora Baje Re, awarded to Vaibhavi Merchant. Announced on August 1, the 71st National Film Awards honored 2023’s best films.

In Jawan, directed by Atlee, Shah Rukh played Azad, a jailer-turned-vigilante, and his father, Vikram Rathore. The film addressed issues like corruption and farmer suicides while delivering action and drama. A box office success, Jawan earned praise for Shah Rukh’s intense and emotional performance, securing him the National Award his fans long felt he deserved.

Celebrated by fans and family, this award marks a new milestone for Shah Rukh Khan.
