Sikandar Makers Trim 26 Scenes From Salman Khan-Rashmika Mandanna Starrer; Details Inside

Set to finally release during the weekend, Sikandar is all set to make the upcoming festivals a whole lot better as it will be hitting the theatres during multiple festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid. With only a few days left for the film to be available for the fans to watch, the AR Murugadoss actioner reportedly received its U/A certificate from the censor board. Now, according to a report by News18, the makers have voluntarily decided to cut the film short by 14 minutes 28 seconds.

Yes you read that right! Quoting a report by Bollywood Hungama, the media publication states that 26 scenes from Sikandar have been trimmed. A scene with the dialogue “Offer aukat ke bahar tha” has been trimmed. Apart from that a two minute 26 second scene with the dialogue, “Chaar miss call…chalo Rajkot,” a one minute 12 second scene with the dialogue “Usse leke aata hoon,” and a four minute scene with the dialogue, “Aa gaye aa gaye…bad husband,” have also been deleted completely.

Another scene which was trimmed was one where Khan is singing the song “Ajeeb dastaan hai yeh.” The scene was trimmed by 11 seconds. Another scene with the dialogue “Yeh sirf sample tha” has also been cut short by 40 seconds. After all the cuts and trimming, the final run time of Sikandar is 135.47 minutes.

Apart from that, the film received a clearance from the censor board after facing minor cuts from the examining committee. The makers were asked to remove the word ‘Home’ from ‘Home Minister’ and they were asked to blur the visuals of the political party hoardings.

Talking about Sikandar, the AR Murugadoss directorial is one of the most anticipated films of Bollywood in 2025. Media reports suggest that it was extensively shot in Hyderabad and Mumbai, with a budget of Rs 400 crores. Set to release on March 30, 2025, Sunday, Sikandar stars Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj among many others in pivotal roles.
