Currently enjoying the success of his film Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar fans have been eagerly waiting for an update on his highly anticipated film Welcome To The Jungle (Welcome 3). The multi-starrer was announced in September 2023 on Akshay’s 56th birthday. The film had gone on floors in December of the same year. However, it seems like the makers have found themselves in serious financial trouble. Quoting a recent report by Pinkvilla, the Free Press Journal states that the shoot of the comedy caper has been halted due to the issue, which also includes pending payments.

Media reports suggest that Welcome To The Jungle’s last schedule was shot in August 2024, however, there has not been any further progress in the last 9-10 months. A major portion of the shoot is reportedly still pending, due to which the film’s future remains uncertain. The situation has raised concerns as none of the cast members or the crew have received their promised fees.

Quoting the entertainment portal’s source, FPJ says, “Around two to three schedules of Welcome To The Jungle have been cancelled over the last six months, leaving the actors and their team confused about the prospects. The actors have been allotting dates for the shoot of Welcome To The Jungle to producer Firoz Nadiadwala, and the same stands cancelled at the last minute due to logistical and financial issues.”

The Pinkvilla source goes on to mention that due to issues of non-payment of dues, some of the originally cast actors have left the film, while others are still lending their support to the franchise. The source adds, “They all believe that Welcome is a loved franchise, and are willing to adjust their dates to finish Welcome To The Jungle.” It is to be noted that the producer Firoz Nadiadwala and his team are yet to publicly announce anything about the film.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, Welcome To The Jungle also stars Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Vrihi Kodvara, and others in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Ahmed Khan.
