Pakistani actors Farhan Saeed and his Suno Chanda co-star Sabeena Farooq have called out the Indian media for their “irresponsible and cringe-worthy” coverage of the heinous Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives of tourists and locals. Left many injured and traumatised. Amid calls for support and demand for serious action being taken, from Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan, Mawra Hocane, Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan and others, their posts are receiving much attention from the netizens.
Taking to his Instagram story, Farhan, who has crooned the song Thodi Der in the film Half Girlfriend (2017), accused the Indian media of spreading hate. He mentioned how this is “not the first time” it is happening, expressing how it won’t be the last as “it’ll keep getting worse.” He pointed out that the news outlets just care about their TRPs.

He wrote, “As much as it’s sad what happened in #pahalgam, it’s cringe worthy to see Indian media, the most irresponsible and the agitator! Not the first time and I am sure not the last, it’ll keep getting worse. For their trps they will say anything and if Godforbid if anything happens between these two countries they’ll be first one to run and people of both countries will suffer! Act responsibly!”
On the other hand, Sabeena also shared her take on her Instagram story in Hindi. She wrote, “Be it Palestine or Pahelgam, people have been killed in front of their loved ones, houses have been destroyed. The ones who died are gone and the ones who survived will die every day. We cannot even imagine the pain they are going through.”

She urged Pakistani netizens to take things seriously as “everything is not a joke.” Asked them to have some empathy. “And Indian media, don’t spread hate and brainwash people. Show some responsibility. Not every crisis is an opportunity,” she concluded.
For those who don’t know, the terror attack happened on April 22 at 3 pm, which claimed more than 26 lives and left many others traumatised and injured. Terrorists opened fire on innocent civilians and tourists in Pahalgam’s Baisaran in Jammu and Kashmir. Videos and photos of the attack are currently going viral on social media, leaving citizens enraged over the government’s lack of protection and security.
